Traditional Fabrics was started with the reenactor community in mind. After years of watching and experiencing the U.S. textile industry collapse, my partner and I decided to concentrate on specialty markets in our country. We chose this market because it is American made. We know that the pride and love for our country runs through the blood of the American reenactor. We want to have part in this deep conviction for our country’s remembrance.
We have over 60 years of knowledge and experience in yarn, dyeing, color, fibers, weaving, fabric construction, quality control, sales, marketing and management. We believe that we can bring authentic, American made, quality fabrics to a community that has been searching for products such as these. We have the ability to produce any type of historical fabric.
With our years of experience in the textile industry, we have built relationships with yarn manufacturers, dyers, weavers, colorists and fabric designers all ready to serve our needs.
We would like to bring this knowledge, experience and relationship building to the hearts and backs of the true American.

Where our fabrics are used
When we first developed our Linsey-Woolsey we thought it to be used primarily for
historic reenactment shirting for men. Although this is true, we found it to be more versatile. It can also be used for pants, blankets, lining for jackets, backing for quilts, authentic dresses and bedding just to name a few.
